2017 Annual Squirrel Master Classic Sponsored by Gamo USA.
Gamo USA continues to support the shooting community by sponsoring the popular made for television event, the Squirrel Master Classic. The fun, high energy event, which took place the end of February, drives television hunting celebrities, 4-H kids who have earned the right to compete, veteran teams and Gamo Executives together who’s main objective is to have fun and fill the squirrel quota.
The 2017 Squirrel Master Classic is an outdoor event hosted by Gamo USA in partnership with Buckmasters. Since 2014, the Squirrel Master Classic has delivered a successful event by showcasing the most innovative Gamo products like the new Swarm Maxxim.
The Swarm Maxxim features Gamo’s 10X Quick-Shot patent pending technology that utilizes a 10-round rotary-style magazine, providing faster loading for repetitive shooting. It is available in either .22 or .177 caliber configurations, providing the perfect shooting platform for small game hunting, recreational shooting and pest control, says Gamo.
Gamo says that the Squirrel Master Classic helps bridge the gap between generations by bringing excitement and competition to the outdoors.
Through the course of the Squirrel Master Classic, teams trudge through the soggy terrain of Alabama while diligently searching the wooden area for the tiny target. The final score of the competition depends on points and weight, grey squirrels are worth one point while fox squirrels are worth two points.
Team Bone Collector once again demonstrated their dominance for this event by bagging the most squirrels. With the help of a squirrel hunting dog and their Gamo air rifles, Team Bone Collector walked away with the third consecutive victory for this competition.
Every year the event continues to grow and Gamo enjoys sponsoring the event that brings different personalities and age groups together for the same dynamic fun. To learn more about the air rifles used during the Squirrel Master Classic, please visit gamousa.com.
