American Air Arms Factory Tour Video
American Air Arms (AAA) is dedicated to the design and production of high-end PCP air rifles. Now this American Air Arms factory tour video gives us an interesting glimpse of how and where these guns are made.
The company is the brainchild of Tom Costan. He’s featured in the video – although now not with facial hair, which confused me for a moment!
Below. Tom with his beard.
It’s a small company located in rural Southern California. However the design and manufacturing equipment is first rate. Tom ensures that only top quality parts are produced and then that they are assembled into airguns of the highest quality.
Not to be confused with the British Air Arms company; AAA endeavors to ensure that the complete range of its products is manufactured in the US from US-sourced parts. So when AAA says “Made in the USA”, it really means it. That – of course – carries a TON of value with many buyers.
AAA produces a range of air rifles. These include the big bore Slayer, with calibers up to .452. and powers in the 400-700 Ft/Lb range.
At the other end of the spectrum is the remarkably small EVOL Mini. HAM reviewed on recently in .22 caliber. We were definitely impressed with the quality of design and manufacture. Power and accuracy were also impressive from such a compact air rifle.
So the EVOL Mini earned a HAM Gold Award for its performance on test.
AAA airguns have become a familiar sight along the firing line at major competitions such as Extreme Benchrest. But they are not a commodity item. American Air Arms customers wait for their guns to be manufactured and understand that quality machining and assembly leads to premium prices.
