Not only that, but with overwhelming numbers of Daystate and FX airguns being shot in the final day of EBR2018, Claudio Flores won using a Brocock Bantam Sniper HR air rifle. But wait, there’s more! He used a .22 caliber gun, reversing the trend over several years of larger calibers winning the competition.

The Extreme Benchrest Sportsman’s Class was won by Dakota Enox (214 x 3), left; with Jorge Jugovic second (206 x 2), center; and Bo Kellar third (203 x 2), right.

The other main event of the competition was the Speed Silhouette. Because of the reactive targets, this is the most popular competition with spectators, as you can see below.

Winner of the Silhouette Pro Class was Michael Wendt, the owner of the Airgun Nation Forum, with a time of 01:10:23. That’s Michael, left, in the photo below. Second was Tom Adams, center, with 01:15:18; third was John Bagakis, right , with a time of 01:18:55.

In the Open Silhouette Class, Matt Dubber won with a time of 00:30:40. Matt’s second right, below, being presented with an FX IMpact for his win by Fredrik Axelsson. Barry Diehl (center) was second in 00:32:55, while Val Simmons, right, placed third in 00:34:84.

In Sportsman’s Class for Speed Silhouette, Cody Shenk placed first, with Sylvan Adams second and Richard Plumb in third place.

The American Field Target competition at EBR goes from strength-to-strength, with more entries every year. For 2018, the American Field Target Extreme Class was won by Jason Blanchard – right – with a score of 33 from a possible 40. Oscar Gyllenhammar, center, was second with 32 points and Val Simmons – left – placed third with a score of 31.

In the American Field Target Sniper Class, that man Michael Wendt won again.

That’s Michael in the center below. His score was 40 – a clean sweep! Congratulations, Michael! Second was Anthony Turchetta (right) with 38, followed by Ben Spencer (left) also with a score of 38.

So that’s all from Extreme Benchrest 2018. Everyone I spoke to had a great time and – as always – the AoA team’s professional organization ran like clockwork. Thanks to Shane Kellar and all the other folk at AoA who make it a pleasure for all of us to attend.
