Coming Soon! The Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup
The Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup is a new version of the very popular PCP air rifle. It’s due to be available in January 2022.
The original – “long” Air Venturi Avenger earned a HAM Gold Award for it’s combination of price, features and tunability. In particular, the external regulator adjustment capability makes it a game-changing product for those enthusiasts who want to use a variety of regulator pressures in their PCP air rifle.
In HAM’s thorough investigation of the original Avenger, we found it possible to tune for fill pressures from the maximum 4,350 PSI right down to 2,000 PSI. But you’ll definitely be needing a chronograph to take advantage of this capability!
The new Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup combines a similar package of features into a compact bullpup form factor. The new model is just 33 Inches long: that’s a 10-Inch length reduction compared to the full-length original.
Air Venturi advises that the new bullpup model will be available in .177 caliber, .22 cal and also .25. Power levels peak at 45 Ft/Lbs Muzzle Energy for the .25 caliber gun – which HAM hopes to have available soon for a comprehensive test review.
As with the original Avenger, the bullpup model includes two pressure gauges. One indicates the HPA tank pressure, the other the regulator pressure. Together with the externally-adjustable hammer spring tensioner and regulator, this gives the Avenger a tuning capability that’s far ahead of any other PCP air rifle in this price range.
As you can see from the photograph above, the Avenger Bullpup has the capability of storing spare magazines in the underside of the buttstock. There’s also holes at the front and rear of the stock for mounting sling swivels.
The adjustable rubber buttpad and multi-position cheek piece are intended to work with the high Picatinny scope rail to provide comfortable shooting.
Pyramyd Air shows the Avenger Bullpup as having a price premium of $50 compared to the full length version. The Street Price is $399.99.
