Diana XR200 PCP Air Rifle At 2023 SHOT Show

The Diana XR200 PCP air rifle was shown at the 2023 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. That’s Diana International Sales Manager Markus Dombrowski showing it to us in our photograph above. He’s really pleased with this new model – as you can see!

The XR200 was first announced a year ago. However – as with many other products in the past few years – the move to manufacturing has been delayed due to forces beyond anyone’s control. Anyhow, now it’s really in production and customer availability in the USA will be soon.

Diana XR200 PCP Air Rifle

The Diana XR200 PCP air rifle has a maximum fill pressure of a handpump-friendly 2,900 PSI. As you would expect, there’s a side lever action with magazine feed, together with an innovative “two shot tray” that can be used as an alternative as required.

As a premium model from Diana’s German-made “Performance Line”, the XR200 is fitted with a Lothar Walther barrel, Altaros regulator and match-grade trigger.

Another feature that will be attractive to left-handed shooters is that the side cocking lever can be swapped from one side to the other by removing just one screw. The stock is completely ambidextrous, too. Below we see the left side of the action, showing how simple it will be to change the cocking lever.

One of the highlight features of the XR200 is the front-mounted, rear-facing pressure gauge. A big benefit here is one of safety: it’s not necessary to look down the barrel of the gun to read this gauge.

This is rotatable to be visible from either side of the gun. As Markus showed me – below – the position can be moved to owner preference – at least when there’s no pressure in the 280 cc capacity HPA tube! So it can be set to an intermediate position, not just “full left” or “full right”.

The first model will have an olive green synthetic stock as shown here. However there’s a “Premium” model with hardwood stock that’ll be available soon after.

The Diana XR200 PCP air rifle will be available in four calibers – from .177 to .30 cal. Power level specs with lead pellets are up to the following levels: 21 Ft/Lbs in .177 cal, 33 Ft/Lbs in .22 cal, 44 Ft/Lbs in .25 cal and 59 Ft/Lbs in .30 cal.

Further details are available on the Diana website.

Markus confirmed that Hard Air Magazine will be receiving a review gun very soon. We’ll be bringing you the HAM Team’s expert opinion as soon as possible!
