Meet Some AoA Staff You May Not Know.
Extreme Benchrest is a team production that’s run with great enthusiasm and professionalism by AoA staff. They also contribute a huge amount of time and effort planning and preparing for this annual event, as well as constantly making things happen so that the attending shooters can actually enjoy the shooting!
Above, AoA General Manager Greg Glover – on the left – surveys the Extreme Benchrest competition with Shane Kellar. Shane is the guy primarily responsible for organizing the Extreme Benchrest competition. Great job Shane!
Of course, Robert Buchanan (above, talking to Diana Sales Manager Tobias Schmidt) is the well-known popular face of Airguns of Arizona. But behind the scenes there’s a large and capable team of AoA staff who are part of the Airguns of Arizona family.
Extreme Benchrest gives us a chance to meet these AoA staff in person. And while we don’t have space here to feature all of them, here’s photographs of some of the AOA staff that you may talk to when making your next purchase from Airguns of Arizona.
Todd DeOrio is the “compressor Guru” at AoA. Here he is, below, with an Omega Supercharger compressor that’s received the camo look. Todd’s kept busy filling HPA tanks at Extreme Benchrest, as you can well imagine.
Colleagues and friends Darren Schollmeyer and Brad Lamoreaux have been arguing for ever about who is the better shot. In an attempt to settle the argument, they slugged it out side-by-side in the 25 Yard competition at Extreme Benchrest 2016, below. Darren shot FX while Brad fielded a Daystste. The competition between them was really, really close!
To save embarrassment, HAM’s not allowed to reveal the result. But if you happen to talk on the phone to Darren Schollmeyer – that’s him on the right – it’s probably best if you don’t mention anything about this contest…
Steve Buchanan – Robert’s brother – is the lead Service guy on the AoA staff. We saw him in the back of the AoA van fixing an air rifle in a previous post. But he’s rather easier to see in this photo, below.
The other guy in the van was OEM Sales Manager Larry Piercy. Here we get a better view of him at the 2016 SHOT Show.
And as a reminder of the teamwork displayed by the AoA staff at Extreme Benchrest, just see them at work changing targets downrange between cards at the 75 yard mark.
To those AoA staff I’ve not included. Apologies. Next year…
