Umarex USA Hosting Airgun-Steels and 3-Gun Match, May 9th 2015

The first ever Airgun-Steels and Airgun 3-Gun Match to be held in the Arkansas River Valley is being hosted by Umarex USA. The speed shooting match will take place on Saturday, May 9th 2015 beginning at 5:30 pm at Chaffee Crossing in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The Umarex Air Steels and 3-Gun Matchis open to professional and amateur adult and youth shooters from age eight and up. The event is free to attend for the public. The event is similar to the Scholastic Steels and 3-Gun sports traditionally shot with firearms.

Competitors can participate in the Airgun-Steels or the Airsoft 3-Gun match or both for just $5. Time and hits will determine winners in divisions and classes defined by age and equipment used.

Umarex USA will have airguns and airsoft guns available for anyone who would like to try this exciting new air-powered sport. “Airgun-Steels and Airgun 3-Gun is a new sport created for family and friends to economically enjoy the sport of shooting.” said Justin “JB” Biddle, Director of Marketing for Umarex USA. “We’re proud to be a sponsor of International Air Shooting Sports and ecstatic that Chaffee Crossing has worked with us to provide a venue to hold the match.”

The event is sanctioned by the International Air Shooting Sports program. IASS is a youth and adult development program that teaches safe handling of pistols, semi-auto rifles and shotguns while at the same time developing positive life skills through a supportive environment taught by trained adult coaches.

The match will be held in a former Fort Chaffee warehouse building, #204 located within the historic district of Chaffee Crossing at 7405 Ellis Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72916.
