First Look At The New Weihrauch HW110 TK PCP Air Rifle

The Weihrauch HW110 TK PCP air rifle is the latest introduction from this famous German manufacturer. In fact, it’s such a new arrival that it’s not even shown on the Airguns of Arizona website yet! AoA has them in stock but you’ll need to phone to order, at least for now…

The “T” in the name stands for “Thumbhole stock”, while the “K” represents carbine “Kurz” (short) in German. As seen here, it is fitted with an elegant gray laminated stock. The overall appearance is very attractive.

The HW110 is broadly similar to the long-running HW100 – an easy HAM Gold Award winner. However it’s more compact and lighter, with some different ergonomics, too. In fact, the action is more similar to that of the HW44 PCP air pistol, another Gold Award-winning airgun.

Similarities between the three models include sidelever cocking, unbroken scope mounting rail and a 10-shot rotary magazine. We’re expecting the trigger to meet the high standards we’ve found with other Weihrauch models, too.

There’s a bonded silencer fitted also to moderate the report to “backyard friendly” levels.

As you can see from the photograph above, the gun here at the HAM offices is in .177 caliber. It’s marked with “25 J”(Joules), that’s about 18 Ft/Lbs Muzzle Energy – ideal for Field Target competition.

We used some favorite UTG Pro rings from Leapers to mount a Sightron S-TAC 3-16 x 42AO scope to the Weihrauch HW110 TK PCP air rifle. The combination looks good and handles well, too.

Under the forend of the stock, we installed the optional mini Picatinny rail. (This is easily added or removed using the two screws).

That proved ideal for mounting a Spartan Javelin bipod. HAM has reviewed this bipod previously. We find that it is an ideal piece of equipment when light weight – make that very light weight – portability and simplicity are required.

The Sightron S-TAC 3-16 x 42AO riflescope has a definite “stealth” look about it. The finish is a quality matt black and there’s not even a manufacturer’s name to be seen!Apparent in these photographs are the capped target turrets. Not visible is the fine Mil-hash reticle.

HAM will be testing this combination of air rifle, scope and rings in the near future, so it will be very interesting to see how it shoots…
