Hawke Frontier 34 FFP Scopes Now Shipping

HAM readers first learned about Hawke Frontier 34 FFP scopes back in January. Now they’re shipping and Pyramyd Air has them in stock at the time of writing this story.

As a reminder, there are top-end scopes from the UK-based company. There’s two optical configurations, each with a choice of MOA or Mil reticles. All have First Focal Plane reticles, as is indicated in the product names, of course.

Also we have pricing now, which was not available for the earlier post. The 3-18 x 50 models are selling at a Street Price of $1,169.99. The 5-30 x 56 scopes are a little more expensive at $1,259.99 each.

These scopes use Hawke’s H7 optics system. This employs high grade, low dispersion crown glass with 21 layer multi-coating. The result is excellent light transmission, crisp images and a wide field of view, the company tells HAM.

Of interest to airgunners are the minimum focusing distance of 15 Yards, together with the generous elevation and windage adjustment ranges for both windage and elevation.

The large, 34 mm, tube diameter allows for 99 MOA elevation adjustment for the 5-30x model. The 3-18 gives no less than 150 MOA of adjustment, courtesy of the 1/4 MOA-clicked turrets.

For the MIL scopes, the figures are 29 MRAD of elevation adjustment for the 5-30 scope. Make that 46 MRAD for the 3-18 model. Both use turrets with 1/10 MRAD clicks.

Hawke Frontier 34 FFP scopes are supplied with metal flip-up lens covers and are covered by the company’s no-fault lifetime warranty.
