H&N Cup 2025 – With 698 Competitors, It’s A Big Deal!
Let’s take a look at the H&N Cup 2025. It’s a big deal, with no less than 698 competitors from 50 countries taking part.
We all know that H&N Sport is one of the world’s top manufacturers of airgun pellets and slugs. But less well known is that the company sponsors this major airgun shooting competition every year.
In fact, for many athletes, the annual H&N Cup is the first “stress test” in the new Olympic shooting sport year. It’s the first major event for the 2025 ISSF season and is run by the Bayerischer Sportschützenbund e.V. (Bavarian Shooting Federation).

Olympic-level 10 Meter shooting competitors attended from countries around the world, including Albania, Argentina, India, Japan and the USA.
As usual, this legendary annual event for 10-Meter Olympic air rifle and air pistol shooting took place in Munich, Germany, between January 21th and 26th, 2025. The venue is the purpose-built 1972 Olympic Shooting Range.

The H&N Cup has grown over the years and is now held over six days. The athletes shoot two complete qualifications with 60 shots each and a subsequent final each.
This applies to both air rifle and air pistol shooters.
So every athlete has at least two chances of a place on the podium – or even three if they are part of a mixed team.
On the first two days of the competition, the senior women and men competed, the mixed team competitions took place on Friday morning and the juniors followed from Friday to Sunday.
The level of competition was – as expected – world class throughout. Serbia topped the medal rankings with 4 gold medals, followed by the Czech Republic and Italy.

The US shooting team scored a gold medal in air rifle junior women (Makenzie Larson) and a bronze medal in air rifle senior men (Lucas Kozeniesky).
That’s Makenzie in the center, below.
