It’s A July 4th Special New Airgun – The Daystate Huntsman Revere
Timed to coincide with the US July Fourth of July holiday, Daystate has launched a new model – the Daystate Huntsman Revere.
The Huntsman Revere is a new take on Daystate’s longest-running and best-selling Huntsman model. Yes, it’s a sidelever version of the Huntsman, but there’s more more improvements than that in this new version. That’s impressive news as the Huntsman Regal is already a HAM Gold Award winner!
Daystate tells HAM that the Huntsman Revere incorporates further developments of the Huntsman’s patented hammer and valve system. Along with the inclusion of the expected HUMA-Air Regulator, the Revere offers up to 40 Ft/Lbs of Muzzle Energy in .25 caliber.
The .22 cal has a maximum of 30 Ft/Lbs, while the .177 model can achieve up to 18 Ft/Lbs.
These power levels are combined with up to 60 consistent shots per fill in .177 caliber. In .22 cal it’s 40 shots, while the .25 cal version achieves 15 shots per fill, according to the manufacturer.
Additionally, the Revere sports a new-look breech and an action optimized to work with an all-new gate-loading self-indexing magazine system. This new magazine has a higher capacity than previous Daystate magazines. A total of 13 shots in .177 caliber, 11 in .22 and 10 in .25 cal.
Note that the new magazines also fits all current current production Daystate air rifles including the Wolverine. Tony Belas of Daystate told HAM that they also fit older Daystate models manufactured since 2012. So many existing Daystate owners can upgrade to the new loading system.
This new magazine is similar to – but not completely identical with – the new style magazine announced for the forthcoming Delta Wolf. For example, it does not include the capability to install two magazines back-to-back.
Also included in the Revere package is Daystate’s latest single-shot loading tray for those who do not need the speedy re-loads offered by a magazine.
Daystate says that the stylish new sporter stock holds the action lower than in previous models, for improved handling. Interestingly this stock breaks the current mold by NOT being ambidextrous. There’s actually separate right-and left-handed versions of the Revere.
Unusually, for the benefit of Southpaws, the Huntsman Revere is available in “true” left-handed configuration, with left-handed cocking and magazine access.
Added to this list of new features, there’s Daystate’s traditional shrouded, 17-Inch match-grade barrel and two-stage adjustable trigger.
Overall length is the same for all Huntsman revere models at 36.5 Inches. Likewise with weight at 6.2 Lbs (plus scope, of course).
The Daystate Huntsman Revere is already shipping from the UK factory. It will be available in the USA as soon as the first shipment makes it across “the pond”.
The bolt action Daystate Huntsman Regal continues in production for those customers who prefer that cocking method.
