Let’s Look At The Diana Chaser Air Rifle
The Diana Chaser air rifle is not a particularly new model – it’s been around for several years. However it’s a popular and interesting CO2-powered airgun. That definitely makes it worth us looking at it…
The thing that immediately comes to mind about the Chaser air rifle is that it clearly represents great value. The Street Price is just $142.99. Sure, this is not a “powerhouse” model – no CO2-powered airgun will claim that title – this is a dedicated plinker and short-range target or pesting gun. But you certainly do receive a lot for your money!
Like the Umarex Notos PCP that HAM reviewed recently, the Diana Chaser Air Rifle clearly started-out life as a pistol, but evolved to rifle configuration. The main giveaway is that left-side location of the bolt handle.

Again like the Notos, the Chaser can also be a pistol. It’s all in the $142.99 package…
So what do you get for the money?
Well, the Diana Chaser Rifle actually comes configured as a pistol! You find that out as soon as you open the included black soft case.

Also included is an additional skeleton butt stock and long, 450mm (17.7 Inch) barrel with permanently-attached bonded silencer. Diana’s excellent instructions explain how to attach the butt stock – it’s easy.
Conversion to rifle configuration requires removal of the 210 mm (8.3 Inch) pistol barrel and its replacement with the longer unit. Again, it’s well-explained and easy to do.
So, as well as two barrels, a buttstock and soft case, the Chaser air rifle also includes two sets of open rear sights. One fits the pistol the other the rifle. Again, removal is easy if required – and you’ll certainly need to do so if you want to shoot with a scope in the rifle configuration.

The HAM Team will be making a comprehensive test review of the Diana Chaser Rifle in the near future. Stay tuned…
