New Compact Copperhead Riflescopes From MTC Optics

The latest introductions from UK-based MTC Optics are two new compact Copperhead riflescopes.

Following close on the heels of the recently-introduced MTC King Cobra models, this new Copperhead line adds new models with a more compact form factor.

MTC Optics claims that its Copperhead riflescopes are considerably shorter and lighter than ‘convention’. This makes them more convenient and a better choice for smaller, lighter rifles – the company says. (This includes – for example – the compact Brocock models, of course).

The Copperhead line launches with a pair of Second Focal Plane (F2) models having 4x zoom magnification ranges.

There’s 3-12×44 and 4-16×44 models. The 3-12x Copperhead is approximately 9.76 Inches long and weighs 20 Ounces.

The 4-16x scope is just a little longer and heavier: 10.78 Inches long and 24.3 Ounces in weight.

These inaugural Copperheads offer pull-up/lock-down elevation and windage turrets, side parallax adjustment, fast-focus eyepiece and flip-up lens covers.

Furthermore, they are equipped with MTC Optics’ new AMD2 reticle.

This reticle provides uncluttered graduations for easy trajectory and wind allowances out to extreme distances, says MTC Optics. There’s also an illuminated central crosshair offering six brightness settings for use in low light conditions.

The new Copperheads have 30mm tubes and focus down to 10 Yards using the side parallax correction knob. A large sidewheel is available as an accessory for faster and easier focusing.

The elevation and windage turrets are graduated in Mils. There’s 60 clicks per turret revolution, giving a maximum turret adjustment of over 45 Inches at 100 Meters (109 Yards).

UK selling price for the the Copperhead F2 3-12x is £300.00. The 4-16×44 is priced at £315.00. International availability is anticipated soon – supply chain industry issues permitting, of course! Look for these new Copperhead riflescopes to be available at Airguns of Arizona in due course.
