New Sightron 2nd Gen S1 Riflescope Line
Just in time for the 2022 SHOT Show, comes news of the new Sightron 2nd Gen S1 1-inch riflescope line. This is in addition to the S6 5-30 x 56 ED models already covered by HAM.
There’s to be five models in the new generation S1 scope range, with a choice of reticles. All feature a 1-Inch diameter tube and are built on the legacy of the original S1 series, first introduced in 2002.
Sightron says that the new S1 series is an extension of all of the company’s experience earned over the last 20 years applied for the next generation of hunters and target sport enthusiasts.
The Sightron 2nd Gen S1 scope that’s likely to be of most interest to airgunners is the 4 – 12 x 40 AO G2. This has front AO-focusing down to 10 Yards and is offered with a choice of two reticles: Duplex and MOA-20. Obviously the MOA reticle will be the choice of most airgunners…
The other models have 100-Yard fixed parallax and are most suited to centerfire use.
Sightron tells HAM that the company’s designers and engineers focused on reducing weight, improving optical design for these Second Generation models. The result is increased light transmission, eye relief, and more generous sight pictures.

Those are definitely some worthwhile improvements for the second gen scope. Particularly for the Field of View!
