New Gamo Luxor Cu Hunting Pellets Announced

Gamo Outdoor USA announced yesterday that they will release a premium new type of airgun hunting pellets that can acquire up to 20% more velocity than standard lead pellets. GamoUSA claims that the Gamo Luxor Cu Hunting Pellets have an aerodynamic shape for excellent flight characteristics and that their lead free material gives increased velocity and more terminal penetration while still maintaining a stable flight trajectory. Luxor Cu airgun pellets will be available in both .177 and .22 calibers.

Gamo Luxor Cu Hunting Pellets feature an innovative sharp pyramid shaped tip that enables it to cut and shatter your target, claims Gamo. Gamo also claims that he aerodynamic shape enables these pellets to have excellent flight characteristics and ballistic coefficients. Further, they say this non-lead pellet has a copper layer that retains 100% of its weight after expansion retaining velocity and energy.

Pricing? Gamo says that the 150 quantity tin of Luxor Cu Hunting Pellets in .177 Cal retails for $18.95, while the 100 quantity tin of Luxor Cu Hunting Pellets in .22 Cal retails for $19.95.

So why “Luxor Cu” as the pellets’ name? Gamo doesn’t say in their announcement, but the chemical symbol for copper is “Cu” and as these new pellets have a copper coating, maybe that’s a clue…
