Weihrauch Airgun News At IWA OutdoorClassics 2025

Now we come to the latest Weihrauch airgun news from IWA OutdoorClassics 2025…

Now in its 126th year of business, the famous German family business has now moved on to the fifth generation. That’s Felix Weihrauch in our heading photograph above. (HAM covered the 125th anniversary celebration party in our report from IWA 2024).

As is expected and understood, Weihrauch works very carefully. They add incremental improvements to a range of products that have been refined over many years of production and are already known for being close to perfect. The company’s challenge is to hone those products even further, while continuing to expand their popularity.

The success of this “slow and careful” strategy is shown by the fact that no less than 7 out of the 2024 Top 20 Hard Air Magazine reviews were for Weihrauch air rifles. Its clear that HAM readers love Weihrauch products!

Felix was kind enough to explain the latest Weihrauch airgun news to me himself. In the photographs, he shows us the HW30 Junior.

The HW30 Junior is designed to offer a light and compact design that’s attractive to young shooters, plus those small of stature. Unusually for a Weihrauch air rifle, it incorporates fiber optic inserts in both the front and rear sights.

Overall length of the Junior is 35 1/2 Inches and the weight is around 5 Lbs 6 Oz. Barrel length is just under 13 1/2 Inches. Muzzle Velocity is around 500 FPS with 7.0 Grain lead pellets. It’s available in .177 caliber only.

Although not shown at the IWA show, there’s also a new Walnut-stocked version of the HW30 that will be available as a US market-only model through Airguns of Arizona. HAM will be carrying details of this in a future edition. Felix was excited to tell me all about it!

Below, the HW30N (N is an abbreviation for the German word Nussbaum, meaning Walnut).

Otherwise, the existing range of Weihrauch air rifles continues unchanged.

However there are also improvements to some Weihrauch air pistols. The HW45 Bronze Star has received some incremental upgrades…

… as has the HW75. The HW75 is available in .177 cal. only. However the HW45 is manufactured in three calibers: .177, .20 and .22 cal.

So that’s the latest Weihrauch airgun news from IWA OutdoorClassics 2025. There’s more to come from other manufacturers tomorrow.

Enjoy :-)
