Giles’ Latest Video Review of the Daystate Saxon and Wolverine 2
Right before the 2017 SHOT Show, Giles Barry of the AirgunGearShow got to shoot the latest Daystate Saxon PCP air rifle.
This video shows Giles putting the Saxon through its paces in the Arizona desert near Phoenix. That’s close to the home of Airguns of Arizona, of course.
The Daystate Saxon is the special, limited edition version of the forthcoming Daystate Wolverine 2 air rifle. Only 150 have been built and Giles is shooting number 8 from that production run. The Wolverine 2 will be functionally the same, but not include the special Saxon design and finish.
As Giles finds, the Daystate Saxon gives 70 shots at around 32 Ft/Lb Muzzle Energy in .22 caliber. And he’s really impressed! “This is not just another air rifle”, Giles explains, the Saxon is really way better….
In common with the Wolverine 2, the Saxon has a new style breech and the bolt can be changed from right- to left-handed operation. This, together with the stock design, makes it completely ambidextrous.
The balance of the gun is outstanding, as Giles demonstrates, and he describes the double feed prevention mechanism incorporated in these latest models.
There’s more, too, as you will see in the video…
