Look At The Weihrauch HW95 Field Pro In This Video
The latest video from Airguns of Arizona covers the Weihrauch HW95 Field Pro air rifle combo.
As you can see, for his first springer video, Jared is supervised by “Target”, the AoA mascot.
(AoA assures everyone that no parrots were harmed during the making of this video. Target is obviously a springer fan. He confirmed to HAM exclusively that Jared’s shooting technique is flawless!).
It’s a sign of the times that Jared approaches this review from the perspective of the person familiar with PCPs, but who has little or no experience with a breakbarrel air rifle. If that applies to you, you’ll find a lot of useful information in Jared’s comments as he describes and shoots the gun.
The HW95 Field Pro includes the air rifle itself in Luxus finish, together with a Weihrauch-branded 3-9x40AO scope and Weihrauch-branded rings that are supplied by British specialist manufacturer Sportsmatch.
The all-up weight of the combo is slightly less than 9 Lbs and the cocking effort around 35 Lbs. This makes the HW95 Field Pro a mid-range model in the extensive Weihrauch range of spring/piston air rifles. As Jared points-out, it’s ideal for hunting, plinking and target practice out to about 50 Yards.
The HW95 is unusual for a spring/piston air rifle in that it can be de-cocked. This means that the gun does not have to be fired once it has been cocked. It can be – carefully – de-cocked using the technique Jared demonstrates in this video, without the need to fire the gun to release tension on the spring.
As with other Weihrauch air rifles, AoA provides a limited lifetime warranty on the HW95. That’s an endorsement of the quality of these German-manufactured airguns.
This video features the gun in .177 caliber. The HW95 Field Pro combo is available in a choice of .177 and .22 calibers. The price is $598.38. However, the gun is also available in “non combo” versions additionally in .20 and .25 calibers.
Over the chronograph, Jared’s test recorded an average of 841 FPS using H&N Field Target Trophy pellets. The 20-Yard accuracy was outstanding, too, as you’ll see in the video.
Target was impressed 😉
