New HW44 Video Review From AoA
Just out from Airguns of Arizona is this HW44 video review! As always, Jared Clark does a great job with his reviews. They’re focused and not too long.
Back in 2018, Hard Air Magazine tested a HW44 in .22 caliber. We loved it and it earned a HAM Gold Award on test. So it’s interesting to compare Jared’s opinions on this PCP air pistol with those of the HAM Team…
Jared actually owns one of these pistols, so his HW44 video review has the benefit of a period of ownership too. He tests both .177 and .22 caliber versions of this Weihrauch PCP air pistol.
Interestingly, Jared finds the HW44 to be not pellet-picky but to be most accurate with H&N Baracuda Match pellets. This exactly matches the HAM test findings!
Jared also like the ambidextrous pistol grip. Again, this was a positive finding of the HAM review. Although it’s non-adjustable, it really does seem to fit pretty-well all shooters hands very well.
The HAM test conclusion was that the “Weihrauch HW44 air pistol is a very unusual gun. At a Street Price of $969.99, this is one VERY expensive air pistol. But there’s very few other comparable air pistols in the market, ones that combine PCP power, magazine feed, great accuracy and obvious high quality.” That’s pretty-well the same conclusion as Jared reaches…
In fact, the current price of the HW44 is a little less than when HAM tested it. It’s now $923.98 at AoA.
The only difference between the HAM review and this HW44 video review is that the AoA guns give a slightly higher shot count and Muzzle Energy than our HAM results. But they’re similar and a reminder that – overall – there’s very little not to like about this PCP air pistol.
